Too few items for a pickup? Send your drives, media and small electronics to our Framingham facility for secure destruction and responsible recycling.
DS Services
Electronics recycling is made convenient by DS Services. Our goal is to ensure that all electronics are recycled locally and responsibly. Please read our recycling mail-in instructions.
Separate the items that are free to recycle from the items with a FEE, then complete the mail-in recycling form.
Data destruction services are performed on request, and certificates of destruction are emailed to you once the work is complete.

Before Shipping
- Separate all free items from items with a fee
- Fill out the mail-in recycling form and weigh all items with a fee
- Pay online for recycling as well as data destruction costs
- The packing list and shipping information will be sent to you, and you can choose the shipping provider that suits you best
After Shipping
- Your item will be delivered to us by the shipping provider
- You will receive an email confirmation once your electronics have been received
- Data destruction services will be performed if necessary
- The certificate of destruction will be emailed to you after data destruction has been completed, if you opted for the service

- Large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers)
- Light bulbs
- Medical electronics (any)
- Non-rechargeable electronic batteries (carbon zinc, zinc air, disposable batteries)
- Single-use alkaline batteries
- Smoke detectors (models that contain americium 241)
Confidential Data Destruction
Certified Data Destruction: data destruction certificates will be issued for each cell phone, laptop, desktop, or server.
Certified Tape Destruction: logic-board memory, SIM cards, and removable data storage are all destroyed. Names, phone numbers, and other information are completely removed.
Mass Data Destruction: cell phones, laptops, desktops, or servers will be data destructed without any data destruction certificates.
