DS Services began in 2005 with a single truck and one employee, rooted in a commitment to service and integrity. Though the company has grown significantly since then, it remains a family-run business. Today, DS Services is managed by Rosie Burgos, who, along with the rest of the team, upholds the same dedication to exceptional customer care that sparked the company's beginnings.
Our Growing Business Model
DS Services started as a document destruction company and while we are still experts in document shredding in the Boston area and beyond, the company's offerings have diversified over the past 18+ years to include hard drive shredding, computer, and battery recycling.
That growth now extends to complete IT asset disposition and technology decommissioning: removing, inventorying, transporting, destroying, recovering value from and recycling entire IT estates, from a single server closet to a full data center.
Who We Work With
We have provided services to major universities and medical organizations in Massachusetts, along with corporate and institutional clients across the region. After a strict security audit, Harvard University chose DS Services to shred their hard drives and media, and we hold Certified and Preferred Vendor status with the university. That institutional experience shapes how every project runs, from a single server closet to a full campus building.
More Than a Recycling Company
Our decommissioning experience lets us go directly into a customer's facility and manage the physical removal, secure handling, transportation, data destruction, recycling and final documentation. One team is accountable for the whole project instead of a recycler waiting at the other end of someone else's truck.

DS Services was built on a very strong ethical foundation with an entrepreneurial spirit. Our goal is to help our clients to find solutions to their security, destruction, documentation, and recycling challenges and enable them to focus on their own day-to-day operations. Our goal is to eliminate the worry that comes with the destruction and recycling of all types of paper, e-waste recycling, and other materials.
